The Consultant Nurse will be responsible for leading & developing service user-focused, evidenced based practice & for setting, maintaining, & developing professional standards for nursing across S-CAMHS. They will develop educational & research programmes to support clinical practice & demonstrate an attitude that respects & values service users', their carers & empowering individuals to optimise their mental & physical health. The Consultant Nurse will embrace the core values of the organisation, tackle inequalities & adopt the principles of recovery. They will provide consultation & advice on strategic & operational planning & support the development of quality assurance frameworks for integrated governance.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking to appoint highly skilled, knowledgeable, & enthusiastic innovators. The role will cover the delivery of person centred care across a range of services, with emphasis given to Tier 4. As we progress our service improvement program we see this post as central to transform the way we provide support & treatment for CYP & families. Furthermore, the role of facilitating learning for others will be pivotal & the post holder will be part of the developing S-CAMHS Academy of Learning.

The Consultant Nurse will demonstrate expert advanced practice, take a lead on aspects of Strategic Service Development, provide Leadership and Consultancy to S-CAMHS, support Education, Training and Development alongside leading and partaking in Research and Evaluation.
