Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within BCU Audiology service for a confident individual to join our team. We have a vacancy for a permanent Business Manager to lead and deliver business support for the Audiology service across the BCU Health board area. As Business Manager you will work with a degree of autonomy, to organise and manage a defined set of work streams. You will lead the administrative teams across the area and have strong links with the Audiology leadership team as defined in the job description.
The ideal candidate will have excellent time management and relationship building skills, have the ability to work across a variety of stakeholders including colleagues in Primary Care and will be seeking to further develop their leadership skills. They will have high integrity and be able to convey a strong work ethic to colleagues. This will demand good people skills, an innovative mind and a strong will to work as part of a successful team. Proven experience of leading and managing change projects is essential. Degree or equivalent knowledge in business administration or a related subject and experience of working in a senior administrative capacity is essential.
There will be a requirement to occasionally travel between the three sites at which Audiology services are based in North Wales.
Base: Glan Clwyd Hospital or Wrexham Maelor Hospital
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for leading and delivering business support for the Audiology services across the BCU area. Responsibilities include: developing and implementing non-clinical policies which impact across BCU Audiology; managing, maintaining and developing administrative information systems; contributing to development of business plans; leadership of non-clinical support staff in delivering the above; advising on the safe/effective administration of the Audiology service and conducting defined projects overseen by the Audiology Leadership Team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
