Main duties of the job

The post involves clinical experience in a busy and well supported new Emergency Department.

Applicants must have passed their FY2 (or equivalent) competencies and have a sound background knowledge of medicine. Within a supportive and professional team and environment, Clinical Fellows experience a very broad spectrum of clinical experience and a collaborative interface with wider associated specialties, aiming always to work together to provide an excellent patient experience.

The Clinical Fellows are afforded the same training opportunities as our training posts, with access to in house training - this includes protected monthly consultant led teaching days. Study leave is encouraged and the appointees will have the opportunity to perform an audit cycle and take part in case presentations.

Clinical Fellows (CF) in Emergency Medicine assume the responsibilities normally associated with junior grade (SHO level) appointment in Emergency Department (ED), and have access to a full range of IT facilities within the department.
