Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service
A position has arisen for a full-time band 7 Emergency Liaison Team Lead (37.5 hours pw), to work with the S-CAMHS Emergency Liaison Team, based at White Valley Centre, St Cadoc's Hospital. The ELT team is part of the CAMHS Emergency Pathway, along with the Crisis Outreach Team, and the Intensive Support and Engagement Team (ISET).
Main duties of the job
To deliver an effective and timely mental health service to young people up to the age of 18 years, who are experiencing mental health issues such as deliberate self-harm, eating disorders and serious mental health illness.To deliver specialist assessment, intervention, consultation and advice across a range of areas.To lead the CAMHS Emergency Liaison Team in delivering an effective and timely emergency mental health liaison service to young people up to the age of and inclusive of 17 years, who present at a range of clinical areas.Specialist assessment, intervention, consultation and advice will be delivered across a range of areas . The post holder will work collaboratively across a wide range of multi-disciplinary services and agencies.To provide responsive Integrated Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (ICAMHS) to the under 18 population across Gwent, offering crisis prevention and emergency intervention.To actively contribute to the development of services and pathways that enhance the quality of assessment and treatment of young people experiencing moderate to severe mental disorder.To manage the assessment young people experiencing mental health crisis, managing and co-ordinating staff to do so, alongside being an active member of multi-agency support networks
