We are seeking an enthusiastic Orthotist to join our service at Band 5 level. This role is ideal for an Orthotist looking to develop their clinical skills or a recently qualified Orthotist.We also welcome applications from student Orthotists nearing completion of training who are committed to developing their clinical expertise within a structured, supportive environment.
The successful candidate will contribute to the autonomous assessment and provision of orthotic management for both adults and children. You will work as part of a dynamic team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care, with an emphasis on clinical quality and improved outcomes.
As part of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, you will help promote a clinically effective and cost-efficient service, ensuring high standards of care across a diverse and rewarding caseload.
Main duties of the job
Provide orthotic assessment, treatment, and review for a wide range of patients referred to Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, including adults and children with diverse, routine and moderately complex clinical needs. Manage an allocated caseload and be independently mobile and able to cover a wide range of clinics across the Health Board area. This will include community clinics, acute hospital sites, domiciliary visits, and urgent ward assessments. Contribute to the delivery of timely, patient-centred, and evidence-based orthotic interventions to support safe mobility, functional independence, and improved clinical outcomes.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
