Job summary
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has an exciting opportunity to join our Facilities Team as a Facilities Operative (Porter) based at Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny.
We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual who is committed to enhancing the patient & customer experience, therefore you must have a passion for providing a high level of customer service.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will undertake a range of specific work functions, across the Facilities service for which full training will be given. These functions will cover (at separate times), Hospital Logistics which will include:
- Portering Services
- Environmental Services
- Site and Grounds maintenance
- Receipt & Distribution
- Traffic Management support
The main duties of each function are described in the 'Key Duties & Responsibilities' section on the Job Description. The assignment of these duties will meet the priority needs and demands of the service as identified by the manager/supervisor. The post-holder will therefore be expected to take a flexible approach to their duties, and must also be able to cover rosters which will operate over seven day working, which will include night shifts and bank holidays.
