Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the Lung Cancer Admin Team within Respiratory based at Chest Clinic, St Woolos Hospital.
The role of the Lung Cancer Admin Clerk will be to manage the referrals and booking of the lung cancer clinics for both St Woolos and Nevill Hall Hospital.
The post will be diverse and demanding but satisfying. The post holder will be expected to work alongside and in partnership with a wide range of Health Care Professionals both internal and external to the Health Board.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and administrative skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Assisting with the management of patients' pathways within the Lung Cancer service, including referral input and management of outpatient appointments.
Action electronic referrals via CWS
Collating and inputting clinic outcomes
Preparation of clinics including documentation and organising equipment if required.
Support Respiratory Consultants, Respiratory nurses and secretaries with booking and administrative duties.
Provide admin support for weekly cancer tracker and preparation of MDT.
