Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to join Aneurin Bevan University Health Board's Central Management Accounting team.
Central Management Accounts is a small but strong team that works together to deliver effective monthly management accounting information to the Health Board.
This role would suit someone with experience of working in an accounts department and with an AAT qualification looking for more variety and great opportunities for development. You would become part of a friendly and supportive finance team that is committed to growing it's own talent and is proactive in developing finance professionals.
Main duties of the job
The team is based in Cwmbran, and is responsible for providing high quality financial information to Business Partner Accountants and budget holders in line with the organisation's monthly reporting timetable.
You should be able to work to tight deadlines, have good communication skills and be able to demonstrate drive and commitment to consistently achieving high standards in this customer-focused role.
The team has adopted a culture of continuous improvement and you should be able to think innovatively to improve processes.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Accounting Technicians (AAT) Technician Level 3, ACCA Foundations in Accountancy Level 3, or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience including posting transactions into a financial ledger system
- Standard level of Microsoft 365 knowledge, including the use of Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Knowledge of financial systems and processes
- Educated to A-level standard with GCSE qualifications in Maths & English at grades A-C

- Knowledge of the NHS environment and funding sources
