Job summary
  An exciting opportunity has arisen within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board's Primary Care Contracting Team. We are seeking a highly motivated Band 5 Contract Support Manager to join our Contracting Team on a fixed term contract for 6 months as part of a job sharing role, supporting the delivery of Primary Care services across the Health Board, with a lead in GMS.
   As the Primary Care Contract Support Manager, you will play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred primary care services. You will support a broad agenda focused on service improvement and robust contract management.
 The successful candidate will have extensive experience working within Primary Care, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a flexible and proactive approach to managing challenges.
  Main duties of the job
  Planning, developing, implementing and monitoring Primary Care Contracts for the ABUHB incorporating NHS guidance and policies/strategic direction in Wales.
   Managing the Primary Care Contracts, including variations and performance management.
   Contributing to the development and implementation of service specification.
   Contributing to the developing, implementing and monitoring the Primary Care Strategies, ensuring that they meet the needs of our population and improve access.
   Assisting with the management of the Primary Care budgets including contractor's fees and allowances.
   Ensuring that knowledge of legislation and regulation relating to Primary Care professions is kept updated.
 The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
 This post is fixed term/secondment for 6 months from start date, to meet the needs of the service. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.

The post holder will demonstrate appropriate analytical ability, comprehension skills, intellectual capacity and knowledge of relevant contract/legislation, regulatory frameworks, performance management, clinical governance and financial arrangements across Primary Care Contract services
