Community Childrens Health Care Support Worker- Band 2

An exciting and rare opportunity has become available to join our Community Childrens Nursing service. The post holder will work as part of our respite team that provides care to patients within the Community Childrens Nursing service across Gwent.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will always adhere to the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales (WAG 2011) and the NLIAH (2010) All Wales Guidelines for Delegation.

The post holder is expected to work within clinical competencies with supporting base knowledge. They will have achieved anddemonstratedall the competenciesrequiredtoattain a level 2 healthcare qualification in line with the All-Wales Skills and Career Framework for Health Care Support Workers 2015.

The post holder is expected to independently manage their own work/case load, undertaking tasks delegated by a registered practitioner withappropriate supervisionin place.

The post holder willdemonstratean understanding of evidence-based practice and deliver care in line with current evidence, taking responsibility fortaking actionrelativeto an individual's health and carein accordance withorganisational policy and procedures.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
