Job summary

* Be responsible for the day to day running of the laboratory.

* To process biological samples in accordance with research protocols and lab manuals.

* Organise and coordinate clinical trial and research studies in accordance with International Conference on Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) and best practices.

* Provide data management and administrative support for all aspects of Clinical Trials and Research Studies in the Unit.

* Contribute to providing a professional clinical trials laboratory service by working alongside the Research Delivery Team in the Clinical Research Department, undertaking duties to support research staff in the preparation and processing of complex biological samples. This will be achieved by carrying out clinical, technical or scientific tasks using a wide range of practical and theoretical knowledge following written Laboratory Procedures/Sample Guides and taking responsibility for completion of tasks and areas that have been assigned to the post holder.
