Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic physiotherapist to join the Royal Gwent Hospital Inpatient Physiotherapy team as a part time band 6 physiotherapist. This post is based on the community inpatient wards. The successful applicant will be a clinician who has breadth of experience in the inpatient settings and would like to develop their skills within the community wards setting. The work pattern will be fully confirmed at interview, but will require working on a Monday.
We are looking for a self-motivated and forward-thinking clinician who is a strong team player with the ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and excellent communication skills. Possessing a solid foundation in core clinical skills you will embrace innovation and be committed to following evidence based clinical practice.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a caseload of patients working alongside a Team Lead, Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy Technicians, and be part of the wider physiotherapy rehabilitation team.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be organised, flexible and show initiative where needed and be a team player.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- to contribute to the implementation of changes within the work area
- in conjunction with other senior staff, to clinically mentor and supervise band 5 physiotherapists and support workers
- to be involved with and lead student placements as a clinical educator
- to contribute to the delivery of the in service training programme
- to actively participate in audit
