Job summary
We an have exciting opportunity for a Health Care Support Worker (Schools) to join our School Nursing Team, working 26 hours per week, term time only based at Trethomas Health Centre.
This role is to work under the supervision of the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nurse) by contributing to the delivery of the Healthy Child Wales Programme, Child Measurement Programme, Vision Screening programme within the allocated team/ borough and supporting the school based immunisation programme Gwent wide.
It is essential that the successful candidate has a level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent demonstrable Health and Social Care qualification. Experience of working in a similar role is desirable, however, full training will be given.Experience of working with children and /or community experience is also an advantage.
The successful candidate must be flexible to the needs of the service and able to meet the geographicaldefines of the role.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
