Are you a passionate Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic Children's Centre Team within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB).
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Band 6 SLT to work 22.5 hours per week (0.6 wte), based at Serennu Children's Centre, with close working links to our Children's Centres in Caerphilly and Abergavenny.

Essential
- Speech and Language Therapy Degree. Registered with HCPC. Member of RCSLT. Knowledge of a broad range of assessment tools for client group. Knowledge of specific assessment/treatment tools for clients with complex needs. Knowledge of clinical governance issues. Knowledge of national policies in Health and Social Care.
Desirable
- Post graduate training in teaching others. Post graduate training in working with multidisciplinary and multiagency team. Some Research methodology/clinical audit training. Excellent knowledge of national policies in Health and Social Care. Excellent knowledge of validity and reliability of assessment tools. Reflective practice theory.
Experience
Essential
- Significant post graduate experience in speciality services. Experience of performing and analysing highly complex assessments. Experience of working with support workers/technical instructors, multidisciplinary colleagues.
Desirable
- Experience of working with clients in a variety of settings and across agencies. Experience of running support and therapy groups for patients and/or carers. Experience of partnership working with other agencies. Experience of contributing to policy documents.
