Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Community Involvement Officer to support the development of an integrated model of care within the new 19 Hills Health and Wellbeing Centre in Ringland.
19 Hills Health and Wellbeing Centre opened in January 2025, bringing a range of services for patients together in one place, including General Medical Services, Community Dentistry, Community Services, Social Care and Third Sector. The HWBC provides an opportunity to address the whole needs of the community in terms of keeping people well, supporting them to manage their health conditions, wellbeing,reduce loneliness and promote independent living, all in a welcoming environment.

Main duties of the job
Post holder will:
Work alongside communities to ensure people are fully involved in identifying local issues, devising solutions and building sustainable social action as part of Place Based Well-being Collaborative
Contribute to develop local knowledge and skills on using assets-based approaches and support Place Based Well-being Collaborative to fully involve the community
Engage communities in health and well-being activity and work in partnership with others that provide these opportunities
Ensure well-being opportunities and information are identified and easy to find by communities and professionals
Co-ordinate and expand the 'Well-being Friends' initiative
Support the development of community activities for the Newport population.
