Senior Clinical Fellow (CT3 level) in Orthogeriatrics

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic Orthogeriatric team within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.

The post holder will rotate at University Grange Hospital to support the perioperative hip fracture care under the supervision of Consultant Orthogeriatrician.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work on the orthogeriatric ward at Nevill Hall or Royal Gwent Hospital. The main responsibilities include looking after the hip fracture patients under supervision of the consultant and the middle doctors. The post holder will be managing post-surgical medical complications in elderly patients after the hip fracture surgery. The training will be provided to work on the principles of comprehensive geriatric assessment, falls assessment and osteoporosis. The successful candidate will be fully involved in multidisciplinary team working and active discharge planning.
