Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking an exceptional leader as the Divisional Director for Family and Therapies Division. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the health and wellbeing of our patients and citizens.

As the Divisional Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and leading the Family and Therapies Division. This is a key strategic role, and the post-holder will provide visible leadership to all staff and ensure the delivery of agreed objectives and plans, with the aim of securing patient focused, modern, effective and efficient services.

Accountable to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be required to lead the Division, working with the senior leadership team and Clinical Directors to ensure the effective delivery of services across the Division. The successful candidate will be committed to enhancing staff experience and wellbeing.

You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders and the Executive Committee and have a track record of delivering results through partnerships and strong engagement, ensuring that high quality patient outcomes and experience underpins everything we do.

Main duties of the job

  • To communicate and promote the values objectives and strategy of the Health Board in the Division and to ensure that divisional activity is aligned to this.
  • To work closely with the Divisional Management Team to lead the Division.
  • To lead and support the Clinical Directors to deliver organisational objectives.
  • To ensure the continuous development of all staff in the Division.
  • Lead improvements and innovation in the delivery of services to ensure that services are continuously improved through a Value-Based healthcare approach.
  • Lead the Division in the planning of future service developments, supporting a whole-system approach to ensure that the resources and facilities for the Division meet the needs of the service, implementing change programmes as appropriate.
  • Work with Clinical Directors in developing appropriate changes in clinical practice within the Division in line with the Health Board's Strategy.
  • Contribute and support clinical networks both internally and externally to the Health Board.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
