Job summary

Exciting opportunities have arisen for Facilities Operatives in Ward Catering based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport.

We are looking for highly motivated and energetic individuals who are committed to enhancing the patient & customer experience, therefore you must have a passion for providing a high level of customer service.

These posts require the post-holders to be flexible in the performance of their duties, within the Kitchen/Catering service.

There are 5 posts available with the following hours:-

Post 1: 30 hours to be worked 07:30 - 15:30 over 4 shifts per week

Post 2: 21 hours to be worked 07:30 - 15:30 & 12:00 - 15:30 over 3 shifts per week

Post 3: 12 hours to be worked 17:00 - 20:00 over 4 shifts per week

Post 4: 15 hours to be worked 17:00 - 20:00 over 5 shifts per week

Post 5: 12 hours to be worked 17:00 - 20:00 over 4 shifts per week

Main duties of the job

The duties within each function will be set out in the relevant job schedules. The assignment of these duties will meet the priority needs and demands of the service as identified by the manager/supervisor. The post-holder will therefore be expected to take a flexible approach to their duties, and must also be able to cover rosters.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
