Job summary
A rare opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join the Memory Assessment Team in Newport.
We are seeking a candidate who is who is highly innovative, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with older people in a person-centred approach. The role requires the successful candidate to assess and support people with a diagnosis of cognitive impairment, dementia, and their families.
The successful candidate will be somebody with passion for delivering high quality patient centred care, in a forward thinking and developing memory service.
The post entails delivering memory assessments, balancing risk, and dealing with patients with complex needs within a friendly and supportive team
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a Mental Health Practitioner who is highly innovative, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with older people in a person-centred approach. The role requires the successful candidate to assess and support people with a diagnosis of cognitive impairment, dementia, and their families.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team in a the city of Newport, that has a growing population of older people. You will have knowledge and experience in the care of people with cognitive and enduring mental health problems in a community setting. You will have the opportunity to work alongside other professionals within the MDT.
You will be committed to ensuring the delivery of the highest quality user-centred care and contributing to the development of mental health services in the Borough of Newport.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
