Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Community Therapy Technician to join Newport Community Resource Team (Frailty Community service). Based in St Woolos Hospital but working across Newport within service users' homes.
Along with our existing highly experienced Reablement Technicians, you will support the Occupational Therapists & Physiotherapists in delivering therapy to adults with a variety of physical health needs. The post holder will also work closely with other members of the Frailty service
We welcome applications from individuals wishing to further their knowledge and skills and to gain recognised qualifications, we particularly welcome applications from people with experience of working within Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or relevant Health or Social care teams.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
To physically support clients with treatments and therapy programmes designed for them to regain or maintain their current mobility state and promoting independence.
Promote understanding of the aims of client treatment plan/goals and to ensure a consistent approach to clients care.
Use own initiative and skills to assess whether a client requires changes to programme such as adapted exercises, or regressed/progressed approach.
