Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Ophthalmology Outpatient Department at the Royal Gwent Hospital.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a team that provides health care services to patients within an Outpatient department, focusing on the direct needs of service users undergoing healthcare treatments.
The post holder is expected to work within clinical competencies with supporting base knowledge. You are expected to work within defined protocols, adhering to the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales under the direction, and close supervision of and reporting to a registered nurse. All delegated activities will be in line with the NLIAH (2010) All Wales Guidelines for Delegation.
You will participate in and meet the requirements of activities and training designed to meet the KSF outline for this post, and demonstrate a process of attaining continuous professional development, including undertaking all statutory and mandatory training relevant to role.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
