Are you looking for a role in Primary care?
An opportunity has arisen for a band 8a Prescribing Adviser The successful candidate will work with the Primary care medicines management team of pharmacists and technicians. You will work with and support GP practices and Neighbourhood Networks (NCNs) across Aneurin Bevan University Health Board
You must be a registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC); and you should be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills. The successful candidate will be able to prioritise workload, work independently, build key relationships and be confident interacting with a wide range of stakeholders such as GPs, practice nurses, secondary care clinicians and patients.

Main duties of the job
The role includes
- Ensuring safe, evidence based and cost-effective prescribing within GP practices.
- Advising GP practices and NCNs on their performance against national and local prescribing indicators, supporting the implementation of change where necessary.
- Monitoring and advising on prescribing expenditure, reducing costs where appropriate
- Supporting the delivery of the ABUHB Medicines Management Strategy and work programme.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
