Job summary

To supervise, co-ordinate and participate in the provision of the Radiology service.

To be responsible for carrying out radiographic examinations and producing quality images in a professional and caring manner.

To take part in departmental rotas as required.

To assess and treat own workload of patients and record appropriate information.

To have experience and an interest in MRI.

Main duties of the job

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking to recruit enthusiastic and committed individuals to work in its MRI Service. We are looking for MRI Radiographers looking to advance their career pathway in this Health Board.

This opportunity is open to suitably qualified and experienced MRI Radiographers who wish to be part of an exciting busy service and who will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, effective communication and adaptability to meet the challenges encountered in the MR environment. They will need to be patient focused and committed to delivering the highest standards of clinical care.

The successful candidate will be required to participate in a rota system which could include 12 hour shifts rotating through 7 days per week.

The successful Candidates will be based at the Royal Gwent Hospital; however they will be required to work at other MR sites within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board as per service requirements.

The Radiology Directorate has 4 MR scanners.
