Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Primary Care and Community Services Division in the role of Deputy Head of Nursing. This post is integral in delivering the divisional priorities aligned to the strategic direction, which focuses on place-based care. The post holder will be aligned to a specific locality(s) and will work in collaboration with the locality leadership team and Neighbourhood Care Network teams to deliver safe, high-quality care based on the principles of Marmot and care closer to home.
The postholder will provide professional support to a delegated portfolio which will encompass the breadth of both primary and community services. They will be required to deputise for the Head of Nursing as appropriate and will provide leadership, professional and managerial support within the Division.
The post holder will contribute to the development of clinical services and nursing practice from a strategic and operational perspective. In addition, they will be a key person in supporting the Divisional Risk, Patient Safety and Quality agenda.
