The Radiology department in Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny is seeking to recruit a Band 5 Diagnostic Radiographer to join the team in the General X-ray department. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who will undertake a full range of diagnostic radiographs for both in-patients and out-patients.
We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about Radiology and have the desire to produce good quality images and deliver high quality care.
We are a fully DR department consisting of 3 Plain Imaging rooms, a Siemens 128 slice CT scanner, a Siemens Aera 1.5T MRI scanner, a GE Discovery NM/CT Gamma Camera, a digital mammography unit, 4 ultrasound rooms and a wireless PACS connectivity in both theatre and mobile imaging.
Main duties of the job
The Radiology department in Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny is seeking to recruit a Band 5 Diagnostic Radiographer to join the team in the General X-ray department. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who will undertake a full range of diagnostic radiographs for both in-patients and out-patients.
Following an appropriate induction period, participation in the out of hours shift system will be expected along with rotation to our satellite departments, Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan in Ebbw Vale and Chepstow Community hospital in Chepstow.. Rotation to any other X-ray departments within the HB may also be required.
The friendly atmosphere of the department and its status as a training centre for student Radiographers is the perfect environment for Radiographers looking to develop and build on their diagnostic imaging skills with potential to rotate through specialised modalities further into their careers.
It is essential that you are a good communicator and team player and that you are capable of working unassisted in all general areas within the department. You will also be expected to demonstrate evidence of commitment to CPD and to participate in departmental CPD sessions both online and practically.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
