Although these Fixed Term Appointment posts are not formally recognised for training, doctors will be afforded the same in-house training opportunities as our training posts with access to a weekly postgraduate psychiatric education programme supported by junior and senior staff, comprising of MRCPsych teaching, case & journal club presentations and introductory psychotherapy training. Many of our previous fixed term appointees have applied for and successfully achieved training places with the Wales Deanery whilst working for our health board.
