Job summary
This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months due to maternity cover. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
The hours of the post are 22.5 hours per week.
Are you passionate about supporting services to deliver the best nutrition and hydration care for inpatients? Would you enjoy collaborating with Facilities Management, nursing staff, dietetic colleagues and other members of the MDT to ensure clinical and quality nutrition and food provision standards are met.
Applicants must be dietitians registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
You will join us at a crucial time as the Health Board has recently completed a review of Patient Dining Services. Key themes of nutritional audits, patient satisfaction and staff feedback are all being incorporated in the review. The post holder will be vital to work with clinical and FM colleagues in the implementation stages of the review.
Main duties of the job
You will be a central member of the Nutrition and Hydration working group, reporting to the Health Board's Nutrition and Hydration Steering group and will be responsible for reporting on performance against Health and Care and Nutrition and Catering Standards. You will be a driving force for continuous improvement in nutrition and hydration for patients within ABUHB.
The post-holder will have the opportunity to retain their interest in an acute clinical area, remaining grounded within the inpatient clinical team and to develop training resources for nursing and other staff, making use of technology to optimise reach. Recent experience of the challenges faced providing nutritional care in the inpatient setting is required.
This is a valued role within the Health Board and vital for patient care and to support future developments.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
