Job summary
Are you a Registered Nurse looking to work in a large NHS Organisation? The Acute Gastroenterology Unit at GUH is recruiting Registered Nurses who are motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable with a passion for providing high quality patient care. We care for our patients 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and can consider a number of working patterns to support work life balance of our staff. A degree of flexibility would be required to meet the needs of the service. Ward A4 at GUH is a specialised 30 bedded unit caring for patients with a range of acute and chronic Gastro conditions.
The Gwent Liver Unit is a well-established service at ABUHB. The team work closely together to offer patients seamless care from inpatient services on ward A4, into outpatient and ambulatory care services across the ABUHB catchment area. The service has recently achieved full accreditation as a liver service in the Improving Quality in Liver Services (IQILS) initiative which is supported by the Royal College of Physicians and the British Association in the Study of Liver Disease (BASL). The accreditation involved onsite assessment of all aspects of the liver service including our liver ward to ensure the standards of care are in keeping with nationally recommended standards. We are proud to say that we are the only centre in Wales with accreditation and only the 7th in the UK.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a close specialised team and help shape future services.
