Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 8B Clinical Psychologist to become part of the leadership team for Windmill Farm. This is an innovative new residential care project in Gwent, with a strong ambition to support children to remain in Gwent at times of crisis, and to reduce the need to place children in out of county. It is a Partnership project between ABUHB and Newport County Borough Council designed and delivered with trauma informed principles and models at its heart. Windmill Farm will provide placements to children and young people with complex needs, who have experienced multiple adversities. You will support the whole system to develop knowledge and understanding about the impact of disrupted attachment and developmental trauma and be managed within the Gwent Attachment Service. The team is supportive, energetic and creative and this post-holder will take a lead role in an ongoing cycle of innovative practice. The post sits in the Child and Family Psychological Health Service; which is a vibrant, supportive team of psychologists working into a wide array of services and contexts with a strong culture of peer support and CPD and there will be opportunities for connections and collaboration with other psychologists.
