Job summary
The post holder is responsible for ensuring the collection, collation and data entry of patient and staffing capacity to assist the team manager in the effective scheduling of patient care. They are also responsible for the providing and co-ordination of all supporting administrative and secretarial duties for the Clinical Nursing team including liaising with external partners and multi-agency teams.
Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems, some of which are nonroutine, and non-routine activities such as answering queries, progress chasing, task related problem solving, acquired through experience and training to Vocational Level 3 or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Main duties of the job
1 x part time clerical posts to support one of our Community Nursing Teams.
The administrative assistant plays a key and pivotal role within each community nursing team, ensuring the co-ordination of the background work to facilitate the nurses undertaking their nursing tasks and patient care.
The ability to maintain a calm approach in busy and sometimes stressful situations will be essential. Excellent communication skills and a kind telephone manner is required as will be frequently dealing directly with patients.
