Job summary
The post holder will provide leadership and management in health visiting team, working closely with the operational Manager. Responsibilities include the maintaining a clinical caseload. The role will include the setting and maintaining of clinical standards within the governance framework, and the motivation and leadership of team members in reaching specific health targets
Main duties of the job
- To undertake the duties of a Specialist health visitor, providing high quality care
- To lead a Health team, exercising professional leadership at all times and maintaining cohesive and effective team working
- To work with Operational Manager in taking responsibility for communicating and leading the team in meeting Health Visiting initiatives
- To ensure that the agreed monthly and annual activity data is compiled, collated and communicated
- To lead on Aneurin Bevan University Health Board initiatives regarding standards of care, clinical risk management, clinical audit and research, taking a lead role in subsequent change process
- To deputise for Operational Manager as appropriate
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
This post is fixed term for 18 months due to - meet the needs of the service
