An Exciting opportunity has arisen in Royal Gwent Hospital & Grange University Hospital for a Maxillofacial Advanced Nurse Practitioner. We are looking for a highly skilled, adaptable, organised, tenacious individual who wants to make a difference - could this be you?

If you hold an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or are working towards and have relevant post registration experience - we encourage you to apply.
For those successful candidates who are appointed who are currently working towards the Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or willing to undertake this qualification, you will be appointed as a trainee (Aspiring ANP) under Annex 21 during the training period, Once this qualification is attained you will move onto the Band 7 pay scale. For those with an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice you will be appointed on a Band 7.
This post will involve working within the Maxillofacial department including both the Royal Gwent Hospital and The Grange University Hospital
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
- Use advanced knowledge and skills to assess patients, and by using complex reasoning, critical thinking and analysis, make clinical judgements and decisions.
- In the outpatient setting this involves having a patient caseload, full assessment and clinical examination, ordering appropriate investigations depending on clinical findings as per protocols, interpreting results, arrive at differential diagnoses and planning patient care, currently liaising with Consultant.
- The post involves working across Maxillofacial pathways ensuring timely intervention and high quality patients care
