Job summary
The Band 6 nurse is a member of a Community Learning Disability Team for adults and is responsible for an allocated caseload and contributing towards the development of clinical practice within the team.
The Band 6 nurse will also facilitate the development of student nurses and junior members of the team.
To provide up to date, high quality evidence based specialist nursing interventions for people with learning disabilities and ensure the client and carer are fully involved in the process.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Community Nurse within Caerphilly Learning Disabilities Team. The ethos of the team is to provide specialist healthcare for people with a Learning Disability in a multi disciplinary way. The health element of the team consists of Psychiatry, Nursing, OT, SALT & Psychology. The team have a passion for progressive person-centred care and one that thrives on ensuring the best quality of life for the people we support.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated RNLD who is willing to learn, enhance and share their current skills. You will have excellent communication skills, be flexible in approach and be able to use their own initiative. This is a rewarding post and you will be joining an experienced and motivated team. We are passionate about achieving excellent outcomes for people with learning disabilities, working alongside the individuals, families, support networks to ensure optimum levels of health.
