Job summary

The CAMHS Emergency Pathway teams work intensively with young people families/carers, and other agencies during crisis and post crisis, using a range of therapeutic approaches and interventions. The Emergency Pathway teams comprise of our Emergency Liaison Team ELT , Crisis Outreach Team COT, and the Intensive Support and Engagement Team (ISET). All three teams work with families / carers and young people, mainly in home and community settings, however, we also work from safe therapeutic settings such as St Cadoc's Hospital, Grange University Hospital, Princess of Wales Hospital and some adult mental health acute inpatients wards.

Main duties of the job

COT have 1 vacant Band 6 post. We are looking for a flexible, experienced registered mental health nurse who is able to work with families and young people who are experiencing high anxiety as a result of psychiatric crisis.

The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of a multi disciplinary team, and will also need to be skilled and confident at multi-agency working. We are looking for someone who has established and accredited skills, post -registration, and who is able to adapt to crisis situations as and when they arise.

We would be looking for an RMN candidate who have CAMHS experience, crisis experience, or who have experience of working in mental health teams in other areas of Mental Health.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
