Job summary

The Scheduled care division are looking to appoint a rota manager to join the divisions medical staffing team. The purpose of the pot will be to support the role out of medical staffing rotas across the many directorates and support the financial agenda, in addition to leading and managing the vital medical staffing team.

Good analytical judgement and problem solving skills are vital to the success of this role, together with excellent interpersonal, leadership and organisational skills.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work closely with the Assistant General Manager for Scheduled Care and the Directorate Managers across the division to manage the implementation of an electronic rota system across Scheduled Care.

The post holder will have oversight of the whole programme, monitoring performance against agreed schedule, reporting on risks and working to resolve challenges to delivery.

They will hold direct responsibility for delivering on specific elements within the project.

The post holder will be expected to manage the project thorough the implementation stage, engaging all relevant stakeholders and communicating the benefits of the system to minimise resistance from the user base that is created from changes in practice.The post holder will be expected to implement guidelines and control limits for automatic approval of requests in line with established contractualagreements.
