Job summary

We are currently seeking to recruit highly motivated registered nurses to work on Ruperra Ward which is a 24 bedded ward in St Woolos Hospital. You will be working in a friendly and supportive environment during what is a very exciting period as we continue to shape and develop the model of care by empowering nurses to facilitate early decision-making in the safe discharge of our patients.
You will work closely with all members of the MDT to deliver patient centred care. We are passionate in empowering and helping all patients to gain/regain their skills and confidence and our focus is always to achieve safe, successful and effective discharges.

We care for our patients 7 days a week, 24 hours a day so you will need to have a flexible approach to take part in a full shift system including nights and weekend working, in some areas on a 12-hour shift system or on a three-shift system.

Main duties of the job
To support the Senior staff with the running of the medical ward on a shift-by-shift basis.
To be responsible for the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of care
To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team
To develop an understanding of the requirements of the National Service Framework

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
