Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic leader to fill the role of Radiology IT Systems Manager.
The post is full time permanent contract based at Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, with a requirement to work across other Aneurin Bevan sites and attend regional and national meetings.
The Radiology IT Systems Manager will provide operational, tactical and strategic management and leadership in relation to all aspects of the Radiology Informatics agenda which includes undertaking the daily maintenance and continued operation of the Radiology Information System, PACS and other clinical technical services required to deliver radiology services.
The Radiology IT Systems Manager will act as a line manager for Radiology Informatics team members and as a point of contact for departmental Informatics leads, contribute to the organisation's performance improvement development culture through developing and participating in training sessions, in conjunction with other Senior Managers within the Informatics directorate
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the daily maintenance and continued operation of the Radiology Information System, PACS and other clinical technical services to users in order to deliver radiology services to patients, clinicians and other clinical staff. This includes ensuring e-requesting solution and results delivery to Primary and secondary care in the Health Board. To ensure the provision of the highest standards of clinical care by the delivery of an effective and efficient high quality radiology service utilising PACS and RIS systems, across the health board by negotiating, interact with multidisciplinary, multi-professional teams of staff at various sites within and external to the organisation to ensure a co-ordinated approach to health care delivery is retained.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
