Job summary
Be responsible for the day to day professional and operational running of the Community Learning Disability Team and will work closely with heads of professions to ensure that high professional standards are adhered to and issues pertinent to specialities addressed. The team will continually concentrate on the development of outcome focussed 'specialist healthservices' and the post holder will facilitate this whilst also leading by example.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Exciting opportunities have arisen for 3 x Band 7 Community Learning Disability Health Team Managers for Boroughs across the ABUHB area.
The candidate must demonstrate clinical experience of working within Learning Disabilities at least at Band 6 level.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who will be responsible for the day to day management and leadership of the team, working to ensure safe and effective implementation of services for your Borough . You will be accountable for team performance and the quality of services delivered.
Your role will be to ensure the service provided by the team is well organised, evidence based, socially inclusive and person centred, with clear clinical outcomes. You will need to have significant experience working in Learning Disability services and the acquired credibility to lead and manage a multi disciplinary team who provide assessment, treatment and interventions to people with learning disabilities.
You will also be responsible for supporting clinical staff to make complex decisions regarding the planning and development of programmes of care, which will include multi-factorial risk assessment and management plans.
