Job summary
To assist with the assessment, planning, delivery & evaluation of patient care. To provide prescribed nursing care without direct supervision. To contribute to the development/evaluation of nursing practice on the ward. To act in accordance with the NMC Professional Code of Conduct and other policies.
Monnow Vale is the centre for many services for people who live in Monmouth, Raglan, Usk and outlying areas.
Trefynwy is a 19 bedded nurse led unit, we are looking for Registered Nurses to join our friendly team, which accommodates patients with rehabilitation and at times, palliative care needs.
Main duties of the job
Successful applicants will be responsible for all aspects of patients care, from admission through to discharge. You will have the opportunity to work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team daily. All team members contribute to the decision-making process, goal setting and care planning that facilitates a safe discharge from hospital. You will provide general nursing care to all your patients, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect.
Patients on the ward can be admitted directly from the community or transferred from our District General Hospitals, providing the successful candidates with the opportunity to further develop their nursing skills with a range of conditions and complexities.
Medical support is provided by local GP'S of Castlegate Surgery and Dixton Surgery who work closely with all nurses on the ward around the day-to-day management of the patients.
Shifts range from early, late and nights which are worked on a rotational basis.
