This is a new national (all Wales) post to be hosted by ABUHB that will be responsible for providing professional leadership to support the delivery of an integrated and cohesive model of AHP transformation across Primary and Community Care.
The postholder will work as part of a team alongside colleagues from the Strategic Programme for Primary Care to lead and develop a programme of work that will drive, facilitate, enable and support the delivery of substantive, long-term change that demonstrates the value and impact of AHPs across Primary and Community Care.
The postholder will lead on supporting the All Wales AHP Professional Collaboratives Strategic Group and delivery of substantive, long-term change that increases the capacity of AHPs as an integral, but underutilised, part of community teams. Demonstrating the value and impact of AHPs across Primary and Community Care, by collaborating and identifying opportunities to share learning and support planning and coordination of AHP projects, programmes and funds across Wales.
The successful applicant will be recruited from one of the 13 AHP HCPC registered professions in Wales and will be expected to have a primary and community care background; experience of quality management and leadership in a community or primary care setting and be actively clinically practicing in primary and community care currently.
Main duties of the job
This is a key role within the Strategic Programme for Primary Care and supporting the delivery of an integrated and cohesive model of AHP transformation across Primary and Community Care.
The role encompasses leadership, long term strategic planning, and management of key aspects of the All Wales AHP Professional Collaboratives Strategic Group, supporting the delivery of substantive, long-term change that increases the capacity of AHPs as an integral, but underutilised, part of community teams. As such, the postholder will be required to work in a matrix style management arrangement supporting the National AHP Lead for Primary and Community Care as well as working alongside colleagues from within the Strategic Programme for Primary Care and other professional leads.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 9 months to meet the needs of the service.
