Job summary
Due to retirement an opportunity has arisen for a passionate Clinical/Practitioner Consultant Psychologist to join our current Head of Service to jointly lead and manage the Child & Family Psychology and Therapies Service for ABUHB.
You will share the Leadership and management of 50+ wte of Clinical and Practitioner Psychologists, Therapists, Child Development Advisors, Play Specialists, Parent Mentors and an Admin Team, manage the budget and contribute to the senior leadership teams of both the ABUHB Psychology Service and the Therapies Directorate.We have a reputation for innovation, partnership working and developing services based on a context-driven view of children's distress.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will jointly lead and manage all aspects of the ABUHB Child & Family Psychology and Therapies Service as described in the job description and person specification attached. The post holder will be based at the main service site at St Cadoc's in Caerleon. This site is collocated with Health Board Headquarters and also the wider Therapies management team. The post enjoys being part of a wider supportive professional leadership structure from joint Professional Heads of Psychology Services who are also collocated on site. The post holder will work 28 hours per week which would be delivered between Monday and Friday, within core office hours and with the joint post holder.
