Job summary
The post will provide an interesting and challenging role for an established, experienced dental practitioner who will be joining a committed and motivated community dental service. The post holder will carry out oral healthcare to vulnerable children and adults requiring special care dentistry.
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) Community Dental Service (CDS) offers support for professional and personal development and training opportunities to succeed in the above roles. The service is able to provide accredited in house sedation training as well as in more specialist areas such as Special Care and Paediatric Dentistry. We would welcome applications from enthusiastic and self-motivated team players who are able to demonstrate good clinical and communication skills.
Main duties of the job
To undertake the full range of preventative and clinical oral care expected of a Community Dentist treating children and vulnerable adults in fixed and mobile dental units, care homes and hospital care across (ABUHB) area.
To provide dental care in sites where appropriate for children and vulnerable adults including domiciliary care, alongside other clinical staff as required.
