Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative Physiotherapist to join the leadership team in the Cardiff Community Resource Team. You will work collaboratively with the existing Physiotherapist Team Leads to deliver and develop the Physiotherapy element of the Cardiff Community Resource Team. We are looking for someone with significant post registration experience of working in Physiotherapy at a senior level, with expert clinical knowledge in the specialist area and clinical management experience.

You will also work as part of the wider Cardiff Community Resource Team; linking with Team Leads for Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Dietetics, Nursing, Administration and Third Sector partners. There will be a requirement for the successful candidate to work cross site between the 2 service office bases.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role include . . .

  • Autonomously managing a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based / client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in primary care settings to include home visits and community facilities
  • Providing leadership for a clinical team to include responsibility for service delivery planning & evaluation, staff appraisal, supervision, induction, training and education
  • Participating in the planning, development and evaluation of Physiotherapy services within Cardiff Community Resource Team, holding responsibility for defined projects.
  • Contributing to the maintenance and development of the Cardiff Community Resource Team.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to the education of Physiotherapy students ensuring the maintenance of clinical standards through regular supervision of students on practice placement.
  • Working in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team and with primary care, voluntary organisations, local authority and other appropriate health and social care sectors to negotiate care provision across the primary/secondary care interface
  • Maintaining clinical records in accordance with legal requirements and professional standard
