Job summary
There is an excellent opportunity available at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. We are looking for a Clinical Research Fellow in Heamatology to join our dedicated team within the Clinical Research Facility.
The successful applicant would be expected to fulfill the obligations of the Clinical Research facility rota, which includes care of patients in the CRF, recruitment of patients to clinical studies in the department. When not allocated to the CRF rota the successful candidate would be conducting research.
Applications are invited from Medical Trainees with a keen interest in Clinical Research to become part of the Research Delivery team at Cardiff &Vale University Health Board. The post holder will perform clinical duties within the Clinical Research Facility.

When not allocated to the CRF rota the successful candidate would be conducting research.
There will be a commitment to occasional out of hours working in the CRF if patients require overnight or long outpatient stays as part of the research study.

Examples of duties include clinics, bone marrow biopsy lists, patient reviews, clinical trial data recorded.When not allocated to the CRF and CRG rota the successful candidate would be expected to be conducting research led by pre-agreed University or NHS affiliated supervisors. The post would be for a minimum of six months with the option of being extended by up to three months upon agreement of the candidate and supervisors.There will be a commitment to occasional out of hours working in the CRF if patients require overnight or long outpatient stays as part of the research study. The successful applicant will be expected to partake in the teaching commitments of the Surgical and Research and Development Department, including teaching of undergraduates, nursing staff and postgraduate trainees
