Job summary
The Emergency & Acute Medicine Directorate is looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) to come and join our team within the Emergency Unit.
As the only Major Trauma Centre in Wales, the Emergency & Acute Medicine Directorate sees in excess of 145,000 patients per annum across all departments and is one of the busiest Emergency Units in the UK. The Emergency & Acute Medicine Directorate consists of the Adult and Paediatric Emergency Unit . It also incorporates the Alcohol Treatment Centre and Barry Minor Injuries Unit. As a Band 3 HCSW nurse you will work between all departments within the Directorate.
Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will be given the opportunity to develop their skills and experience in all these areas within the Directorate. The Emergency Care environments are challenging but rewarding environments with opportunities to develop and extend the knowledge and skills and work alongside Registered Nurses caring for Adult and Paediatric patients with a wide range of surgical, medical and trauma conditions. To enhance your learning you will be supported by a practice development team. You will be actively encouraged to undertake further study to enhance your knowledge and skills in this interesting and fulfilling environment.
