Job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced support worker to join the paediatric physiotherapy team working in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board based in our special schools and children centres.
As part of the physiotherapy team you will bedelivering rehabilitation programmes to patients within a community or school setting and will have an important role in supporting the ordering and management of equipment across the service.
The successful applicants will need to demonstrate an interest in rehabilitation. Excellent communication skills are key and it is important that you are a team player with a positive outlook, enthusiasm and ability to learn and develop new skills. Previous experience in rehabilitation in the hospital or community setting would be advantageous.
A full and comprehensive training programme will be available.
Main duties of the job
Principally to provide a service, under the direction of a registered practitioner, to children and young people across our community and school services.. They will work with direction to assist the registered practitioner in clinical and administrative duties following a specific competency-based training and development programme. They will independently carry out routine treatment programmes to both individuals and groups which have been delegated by a registered practitioner. They will progress within guidelines laid down by the registered practitioner.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
