Uro-Oncology Fellow in Upper Tract Oncology & Robotic Surgery

Job summary

This post would ideally be suited to a senior urological trainee looking to gain further complex operating experience prior to a consultant post. Prior robotic surgery experience is desirable (not essential) to maximise hands on primary surgeon console training. The current fellow has been able to achieve independent console surgeon status within 9 months of starting the fellowship.

The successful candidate will be expected to hold FRCS Urol or equivalent at the time of starting the post, develop a subspecialist interest in oncological and robotic surgery and also have an academic interest, which could be in research, clinical trials or teaching.

  • Current active (>6 months) GMC Registration with licence to practice
  • FRCS(Urol) or within 6 months of attaining.

  • Simulation hours and dry lab skills in intuitive robotic platform
