- Be empowered to work independently within an agreed scope of practice, with access to senior clinical support.
Development Opportunities
The post is advertised as band 7, but we welcome applications from those who wish to develop in to the role. Successful candidates who do not yet meet the band 7 competencies, will be appointed under Agenda for Change Annex 21 as a trainee Emergency Practitioner.
We offer;
- Bespoke training pathways for nurses, paramedics, and physiotherapists new to minor injuries.

- Apply advanced clinical assessment and diagnostic skills to patients presenting with minor injuries.

- Administer medications under Patient Group Directions (PGDs) or as an Independent Prescriber (if qualified).
- Support and facilitate the development of clinical practice through active engagement in research, education, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the teaching and education of the wider multidisciplinary Emergency Department team.
- Participate in ongoing service development through audit, evaluation, and innovation.
