Cardiff and Vale UHB are pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity to join our forward-thinking Multidisciplinary team. We are looking for a Highly Specialist AHP or Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical leadership for our Team of Rehabilitation Coaches , within the Specialist Rehabilitation Unit at the University Hospital of Llandough.
Our Rehabilitation Coaches are an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team and as a successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to provide high quality rehabilitation to patients within the unit at UHL. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated Highly Specialist AHP or Registered Nurse who can provide decisive and effective support for this group of patients helping them to integrate back into the community . The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate leadership qualities, high level of communication skills and a flexible approach when working under pressure.
The MDT will provide a full induction, a comprehensive programme of in-service training, regular appraisal and opportunities for development.
You may be required to work your normal contracted hours flexibly in a variety of different working patterns in response to the needs of the service where they are placed.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will organise the day to day management of the Rehabilitation Coaches within the specialist rehabilitation area. They will plan, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate the service provided to the Specialist Spinal and Neuro Rehabilitation Unit . They will lead professionally on profession related issues, working alongside members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver services to patients within the specialist unit. This will include patients with multi-pathology and complex needs. They will collaborate closely with key leaders/managers which will include identifying areas for service development and improvement, implementing transformational change.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
