JUNIOR CLINICAL RESEARCH FELLOW -SPINAL SURGERY (StRH Grade)
Applications are invited for the above Spinal post vacant from 06August 2025 to work at both the University Hospital of Wales & Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales.
The post holder will work with nine dedicated Spinal Orthopaedic Consultants who are actively involved in all aspects of spinal surgery ranging from degenerative cervical and lumbar disease to tumour and scoliosis. The Welsh Institute for Spinal Trauma & Surgery is a recognised AO Spine Reference Centre.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will gain valuable experience in all aspects of spinal surgery and there is an active research programme in place including basic science laboratory facilities. The ULHB is associated with Cardiff University and excellent postgraduate facilities are available.The Post Holder will be work along side the Snr Spinal Fellows covering Spinal Wards, elective and Trauma spinal patients.The post is not educationally approved and will therefore not attract a National Training Number.
